David Bonrouhi, Managing Director
David Bonrouhi has over 15 years of experience working as an advisor to middle market companies in his capacity in various roles in investment banking, private equity and financial consulting. David’s experience includes several years in investment banking at Merrill Lynch in New York where he worked on a number of mergers and acquisition transactions, initial public offerings, secondary equity offerings, private placements, high yield debt offering and leveraged loan transactions for companies in the media and telecommunications industries. David also worked in the private equity/venture capital group at Union Bank of California (UnionBanCal Equities) for a number of years, co-managing the bank’s $200 million portfolio of private equity investments in privately held middle market companies in a wide range of industries, including consumer products, industrial manufacturing, business services, technology/internet/new media, telecom, publishing, radio and TV broadcasting, towers, energy and real estate. In this capacity, David was a Board member of several portfolio companies.
David also previously spent two years as a Vice President with Hunter Chase, a Carlsbad based real estate private equity firm. David began his career as a CPA and tax consultant with Price Waterhouse in New York, where he worked for two years. Most recently, David founded a middle market-focused financial consulting and advisory firm, Blue Line Capital.
David holds a Series 7 license and a Series 63 license, both with Fallbrook Capital Securities Corporation, with which Calabasas Capital is associated. David is also a CPA and a licensed California broker.
David has an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management; a Masters in Tax Accounting from Miami of Ohio; and a B.S. in Accounting from Miami of Ohio. David is active in the Los Angeles community with such organizations as Temple Isaiah, Pressman Academy at Temple Beth Am, the Young Men's Division of Guardians, the Law & Business Council of the Century City Chamber of Commerce, the UCLA Anderson School Private Equity Alumni Association, Bruin Professionals, Provisors, All Cities Resource Group, Association for Corporate Growth, Los Angeles Venture Association and Bruin Professionals.
David is originally from Buffalo, NY and currently lives in Marina Del Rey with his wife and two sons.
Brandt Blanken, Principal
Brandt Blanken is principal of Calabasas Capital and founder and President of Fallbrook Capital Securities Corporation. Brandt has over 17 years of experience in the financial services industry in the areas of real estate, energy, entertainment and tax credits.
Brandt holds Series 7, 24, 3 and 63 securities licenses with Fallbrook Capital Securities Corporation.
Brandt is a graduate of The George Washington University and lives with his wife and children in Calabasas, CA.
Josh Lederer, Managing Director
Josh is a Managing Director with Calabasas Capital and has been an investment banker with Fallbrook Capital for the past 5 years. Mr. Lederer has completed equity transactions for dozens of clients in the energy, entertainment, media and real estate industries.
Josh holds Series 7,24 and 63 licenses with Fallbrook Capital Securities Corporation.
Josh graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz and currently lives in Los Angeles, CA.
